Project Proposal: Marrying a Logitech C270 Webcam with Super 8 Cine lenses

 

The goal is to take the Logitech C270 and put these new Cine d-mount lenses on it.

The Logitech has, according to this chatboard post, "a pixel size of 2.8 µm square, and a resolution of 1280x720, so the sensor size is 3.58 mm x 2.02 mm."

A standard 8mm frame is 4.5 x 3.3mm. The crop factor is around 1.25 to 1.5.

It has taken forever. I've been gathering all sorts of parts but NO DICE.

I had to randomly buy C270 in hopes of find one with a M12 lens mount. The one pictured above has an M8, It's too small. But I have an update coming soon.
